vonthun’s farm

this past sunday, a bunch of my cousins got together to go pumpkin picking at vonthun farms – except this place was HUGE & had much, much more than just pumpkin picking. we went in a super big corn maize, played mini golf, pumpkin bowling, enjoyed a hay ride, picked apples, etc, etc. i have a lot of cousins; ranging from teeny tiny to married with kids, & i love how we are all so close & get together on a regular basis. it’s always especially fun to watch the little ones enjoying themselves & getting overly excited :). & i must admit, i was pretty excited myself.
doesn't this pumpkin look like it's lace-covered? i love it.
since this is my first year post-college, [still can't believe i'm a graduate] i’ve been living home past the summertime for the first time in 4 yrs- not away at school in an apartment or dorm. i already feel the weight of this transition – although there is some nostalgia for college days, i can’t deny that it feels pretty darn good to once again be constantly surrounded by my lovely family. we always have fun together & sometimes there’s just nothin’ better than knowing you have eachother. plus, the whole warm & fuzzy feeling is the best – especially as we are almost beginning to approach the holidays :) – - wow i can’t believe it’s already october. i’ m relieved by the fact that i won’t have to be preparing for/taking finals up until the week of christmas anymore :) yipeeeee! but anyway…. here are some shots from our beautiful day:

the corn maize was some serious stuff.

here’s that lovely pumpkin again.
it was such a perfect fall weekend! i loved every minute of it.
now all we need to do is get over the hump (tomorrow) & we’ll be one day away from glory once again.
